Up, up and away

Didn't get around to posting yesterday ... It was a late night. BUT it was a great day all around. Relaxing morning at our place in Nesso (hard to leave this amazing view)


and then we headed down to the town of Como. It is at the southern tip of the lake and has a beautiful waterfront port. We had lunch in one of the cafes overlooking the lake.



Then we walked over to catch the funicular that takes you up to the town of Brunate. It is a very steep ride! But once up there, the view is amazing.



















We saw this HUGE Bassett hound up there ...


And checked out some churches ...


With a little stop along the way ...






Then headed down to do some more sightseeing in the town of Como.



Their Duomo is really beautiful.











Then headed back to our place to get ready for our dinner date. Look at this hot guy I found on our balcony!



And here's my attempt ... Why am I always squinting/frowning/looking worried???


The restaurant - Salice Blu - was amazing. It came highly recommended by our neighbors John and Steffie, who are the owners of the place we are staying this week. It is high in the hills above Bellagio - crazy drive - but well worth it. Food was great! And the Executive Chef personally comes around and explains the menu and makes recommendations. Then he comes back and takes your order! AND he is only 29 years old!
