Spahhhhhh and wine

Yesterday was a pretty lazy day for us, which was nice. After a nice breakfast, we chilled in our room for a bit and read. Then we went down to the pool and spa area ... See below. Yes, that's how everyone walks around this place. Pretty cute, eh?

We hung out at the pool for most of the afternoon and then I had this wonderful facial therapy treatment at 4. They removed ALL of my wrinkles and imperfections! (Don't I wish.) It was very nice though.

Then we came back and read some more before deciding to go out and find some dinner. No food here on Sunday evenings. We got a few recommendations from the front desk and drove ALL around the area trying to find somewhere. Two of the three they recommended were closed and the third one was crazy expensive. It was nuts! By the time we finally found a little pizza place, we were starving. It was a bit of a dive, but great pizza. Oh well, another adventure.

Today we had a late breakfast and then were scheduled to do a winery tour nearby. It was part of our package. We thought it would be a group thing, but it was just us. The winery was called Bellavista and it was beautiful. They make white wine and Cuvée, both of which were great. Here are some shots from the tour ...

Hmmm,, who has the bigger ass???

After the tour we drove up north to Lake Iseo ... Just 15 minutes away.

The shrine of Saint Nancy ...

Came back to the hotel for a late lunch ... And another wine tasting!

Tonight they are having a "jazz violin jam session and festival" out on the grounds, followed by cocktails and nibbles. Should be fun!

Hopefully you are not too bored with all my posts. I have to admit that this blog is for us as much as it is everyone else. At our old age, it's a great way to keep track of what we are doing throughout the trip. If we wait until we get home, we'd never remember anything! We did this two years ago when we did our trip to Umbria and its great to be able to look back at that blog and remember all that we did. Don't laugh, you'll get old someday too ...
